Green Mountain Stables has been an established breeding and showing operation since 1978 and maintains quality bloodlines in our stallions and mares; a majority of whom are multi-champions and who have proven themselves with a multitude of champion offspring. While striving for the ultimate in realism, we must stress that this list is maintained strictly for the pleasure of the model horse hobbiest. These horses ARE NOT REAL!
All foals must be at least three years younger than sires; four years younger than dams. Please choose three years for your foal and I will advise you of availability for the dam chosen.
When breeding, please send the following information: foal's name, breed, gender, color, markings, year of birth, make/mold, OF/CM/AR/OS. If using a parent from another stable, please include the same information plus a pedigree and owner's name/email or address.
Please keep color genetics in mind. Two chestnuts will only produce a chestnut but a chestnut foal can result from any color cross. A grey, roan, rabicano, tobiano, dun, and champagne foal must have at least one parent of the same color. Palominos and buckskins must have one palomino, buckskin or cremello parent. Duns do not produce palomino or buckskin.
Crossbreeding is allowed within reason and some parents who are proven crossbreeders will be noted.
We employ real lineage (indicated by the symbol ® or [r]) as well as quality model lineage. A large number of our model lines trace back to real lineage as well.
Please only send 3 requests at a time. I will get back to as soon as possible and then you may submit another three requests.
Breeding requests sent by email are free. Snail mail requests are 25¢ per parent and a SASE with sufficient postage (1 stamp per 5 breedings). Photos of foals requested for production classes.
Feel free to email with any questions!
